4. How do I schedule a session?
You can schedule a session by reaching out via our website www.mindstreasure.com, through our Instagram handle @minds.treasure, or by contacting us directly via email/WhatsApp. We’ll guide you through the intake and slot confirmation process.
5. What should I expect during the first counselling session?
The first session is about building rapport, understanding your background, concerns, and therapy goals. We’ll explore your history at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and work together to plan the direction of therapy. It’s okay to feel nervous—we’re here to meet you at your pace.
6. Are therapy sessions confidential?
Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. All information shared is kept strictly private, except in cases where there’s risk of harm to self or others, or if legally mandated.
7. Will the psychologist/therapist prescribe me medications?
No, psychologists and therapists do not prescribe medications. However, if we believe that medication might be helpful, we will refer you to a qualified psychiatrist and collaborate as needed to support your care.
8. What is the cancellation policy?
Sessions must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged as per the full session fee, to respect the therapist’s time and the appointment slot.
9. Can I reach out to my therapist anytime in case of emergency/crisis response?
While we deeply care about our clients’ wellbeing, Mind’s Treasure is not an emergency service. For crisis situations, we recommend reaching out to local emergency numbers or helplines. You are welcome to leave a message, and we will respond during working hours.
