Mind's Treasure

At Mind’s Treasure, we believe that every individual deserves a space where their emotions are acknowledged, their struggles understood, and their healing journey supported with compassion and care. Located in Kolkata, Mind’s Treasure is not just a mental health clinic—it’s a thoughtfully created haven where people can reconnect with their inner strength and uncover the resilience that lies within.

Founded by Ms. Husena Dhariwala, a passionate and dedicated RCI (Registered) Clinical Psychologist with an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology, the clinic was envisioned as a place where therapy feels personal, empowering, and rooted in evidence-based practices. With over six years of professional experience, Ms. Husena has worked with clients from all walks of life, addressing a wide spectrum of mental health concerns—ranging from anxiety, depression, and trauma to relationship and self-esteem issues.

Mind’s Treasure reflects her values—authenticity, empathy, inclusivity, and ethical care. The clinic was built with the intention of making psychological support more human, more accessible, and more tailored to each individual’s needs. Ms. Husena believes that therapy should not feel clinical or distant; it should feel like a meaningful partnership where the client feels safe, heard, and supported every step of the way.

Beyond one-on-one counselling, the clinic also offers:

  • Individual therapy for all age groups
  • Couples and family counselling
  • Workshops and webinars for community awareness
  • Support groups
  • Supervision sessions for young and aspiring therapists
  • Outreach programs focused on emotional well-being and psychoeducation

Mind’s Treasure is built on the philosophy that healing is not a straight line—it’s a process of self-discovery, reflection, and growth. And with Ms. Husena’s expertise and heartfelt approach, every client is gently guided toward reclaiming their mental and emotional wellness.

Meet Our Founder – Ms. Husena Dhariwala

At the heart of Mind’s Treasure is Ms. Husena Dhariwala, an RCI-registered Clinical Psychologist with an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology and over six years of hands-on experience. She has worked across a wide range of clinical settings, supporting clients of all ages and backgrounds.

But beyond the degrees and qualifications lies someone who listens without judgment, connects with warmth, and sees the person behind the pain. Husena’s approach is gentle yet rooted in science, empathetic yet structured, ensuring that clients feel empowered in their healing process. Her commitment to ethical practice and individualized care has helped hundreds of people find meaning, manage their emotions, and reclaim their lives.

She is also passionate about mentoring young mental health professionals and bridging the gap between clinical practice and community awareness, through outreach programs and education.

Founder's Story

Once upon a time, I was a nerdy student. Driven by an insatiable curiosity, I was drawn to science but often felt like an outsider looking in. The formulas, the experiments—it all seemed fascinating, yet something about the rigid confines of traditional science felt incomplete.

During my early days of graduation, psychology came into my life like a revelation. It wasn’t a subject I knew deeply, nor was it widely celebrated as a career path. But it carried a promise. Every class, every theory, opened doors to worlds I hadn’t known existed. It wasn’t always easy—there were sceptics, raised eyebrows, and even my own lingering doubts asking, “Did I make the right choice?” Yet, with each passing year, that voice faded as my passion for psychology grew stronger.

Fast forward to today, and this journey has taken me to places I could never have imagined. My years of study led me to pursue an M.Sc. and M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology at MAHE, Manipal. The words on pages of textbooks turned into real-life stories when I began working with individuals navigating life’s most challenging moments. Sessions became more than just work—they became opportunities to witness the strength, vulnerability, and transformation of people who trusted me with their struggles.

Through this journey, I found myself immersed in the lives of so many incredible individuals. Each person brought their own unique story—stories that extended far beyond diagnoses and symptoms. These experiences showed me how effort and fate often sync together, guiding us to unexpected yet meaningful destinations. I realized that psychology wasn’t just an academic discipline—it was a way to truly understand people: their complexities, their pain, and their infinite capacity for healing and growth.

Looking back now, that uncertain student who chose psychology on a whim feels like a distant memory. Every twist and turn of this journey has shaped me into the person I am today. It’s a path rooted in curiosity, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to helping others heal and thrive.

In between work and learning, I’ve found my own ways to recharge and stay grounded. I have an unapologetic love for binge-watching crime thrillers—it’s my way of unwinding after a long day. And if there’s a plate of sugary treats nearby, it’s safe to say I’ll be indulging without a second thought! These small joys have become part of what keeps me balanced and connected to the lighter side of life.

Today, my vision remains the same: to bring empathy and non-judgment into every session, every client, and every new venture; to continually learn, adapt, and grow, all while staying grounded in my approach. Together, let’s explore your story—a story of growth, resilience, and hope. I’m here to walk beside you and help you unlock the wealth within, collaboratively.

Approach:

With over six years of experience as an RCI-registered clinical psychologist, my approach to psychotherapy is grounded in inclusivity, trauma-informed care, and a neurodivergent-friendly perspective. Drawing from humanistic and strength-based principles, I prioritize creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel empowered to explore their challenges and foster personal growth. My approach emphasizes the integration of mind and body, helping clients build resilience, develop self-awareness, and navigate difficulties with greater connection and understanding.

I work with diverse populations, addressing a range of concerns, including mood and anxiety spectrum disorders, grief and adjustment challenges, neurodevelopmental conditions, and personality disorders. My therapeutic process is flexible and tailored, ensuring it aligns with each client’s unique needs and lived experiences.

In addition to my clinical work, I have contributed to academic literature and conducted workshops and training sessions for colleges, NGOs, and community groups. These engagements have further deepened my understanding of mental health, allowing me to bridge the gap between research and practice, and enhance the depth and nuance of my therapeutic approach.

Meet Our Co- Founder – Ms. Fatema Dhariwala

Hi, I’m Fatema Dhariwala, Co-Founder of Mind’s Treasure. I come from a deep-rooted background in education, holding a B.Sc., M.Sc., and B.Ed. in Biological Sciences. Teaching has always been more than a profession for me—it’s my passion. I’ve spent many enriching years teaching secondary and higher secondary students and now extend my work to overseas learners through online platforms.

I’m someone who finds joy in connecting with people—whether it’s students, parents, or team members. At Mind’s Treasure, I wear many hats: the multitasker managing all things logistics, the sounding board for new ideas, and the quiet yet steady presence behind the scenes. My goal is to ensure that our space is not just functional but feels like the safe, welcoming place we envisioned when we built it.

I firmly believe that a student’s mental well-being is the foundation of their learning and life journey. It’s what inspired me to join hands with Husena to create Mind’s Treasure—a space where learning and healing go hand in hand.

What the Founder Has to Say:
“Fatema is the soul of Mind’s Treasure—the calm to my storm, the organiser to my chaos, and frankly, the drive that keeps me from spiralling into full-on lazy mode. She may not be in the therapy room, but she anchors the entire space with her quiet strength, relentless efficiency, and people-first mindset. Her presence makes everyone feel grounded. Let’s be honest: There’s no Mind’s Treasure without her, and no version of this journey where she isn’t my greatest support system.”
